Remarkable results from the use of our ecological water regenerator in medical cannabis cultivation in Israel: improved plant growth, higher THC levels, and significantly better dry flower yield compared to conventional methods.

The project

The use of the ecological water regenerator (RNX NERO POWER® by Euronix Sistemas, S.L, Valencia-Spain) in medical cannabis cultivation in a greenhouse leads to significant improvements in plant growth and quality, reduces water and fertilizer consumption, and increases energy efficiency. In this study, plants irrigated with the regenerator showed higher average height, faster growth, higher THC levels, and more dry flower biomass than the control group.

The RNX NERO POWER® improves water quality through natural phenomena such as bioelectric phenomena, suction vortex flows, and resonance. This reduces the surface tension of the water and increases its oxygen content, promoting plant growth.

Measurements

A 4-month experiment at a leading Israeli farm (Evergreen Solomon Sgula) involved 420 cannabis plants, divided into experimental (n=280) and control groups (n=140). To evaluate the impact, the following measurements were taken:

Height (cm): Measured at the end of the vegetative phase (up to week 6-7).
Growth rate (cm/day): Determined during the vegetative phase.
Height over control (%): Measured at the end of the vegetative phase.
Dry mass (kg): Determined after the flowering phase (up to week 16).
THC content (%): Measured after harvesting the flowers.
Wet biomass of the root system (g): Determined after harvesting.

Results

After six weeks, the average height of the plants in the experimental group (94.48 ± 0.817 cm) was significantly higher than that of the control group (74.29 ± 0.92 cm), an increase of 27.2%. The experimental group also grew faster (2.39 cm/day) compared to the control group (1.85 cm/day), shortening the growth cycle by 3-4 weeks.

The total biomass of dry flowers was 17% higher in the experimental group, and the THC content was 8% higher. The average total wet biomass of the root system was significantly higher in the experimental group (50.8 g) compared to the control group (39.2 g). The improved water quality led to a stronger rhizosphere, promoting nutrient and water uptake by the roots. A robust root system produces more cytokinins, which play a crucial role in plant immunity and make the plant more resilient to stress and diseases.
